Rational design of novel CrZrO catalysts for efficient low temperature SCR of NO

Novel CrZrOx catalysts were designed and synthesized by the co-precipitation method first time used for selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3 (NH3-SCR). The promotional effect ZrO2 on Cr2O3 was investigated. SCR performance significantly enhanced appropriate addition in CrZrOx, owing to formation solid solution structure Cr-O-Zr conjunction bonds. Among tested catalysts, catalyst Cr:Zr = 1:1 showed optimal removal efficiency at low temperatures, highest NO 97.5% 180 °C , excellent SO2 H2O resistance 300 50 ppm 5% H2O. It appears that reaction mechanisms followed Langmuir-Hinshelwood model NH3*, NH4+*, monodentate nitrates nitrites major active intermediate species. change modified surface properties catalyst, increasing concentrations acid sites, adsorbed oxygen Oa Cr6+, which responsible enhancement performance.
